Facebook page created in honor of allegedly murdered Julie Schenecker

Julie Schenecker murdered teen ageThe two Tampa teens who police say were murdered by their mother Thursday night are being honored by a new Facebook fan page that has drawn thousands of supporters sharing memories, images and even videos since the news of their deaths broke Friday afternoon.

Fifty-year-old Julie Schenecker allegedly shot her 13-year-old son Beau, twice in the head while driving him to soccer practice, and then shot her 16-year-old daughter Caylx in the back of her head as she did homework on her computer.

The news of the murders led to the creation of the Facebook page, “ R.I.P Beau & Calyx Schenecker ”, created by Ann Sloan.
The page was made, “to honor two amazing people” according to the personal information listed on the page.

As of Saturday, the page has drawn 2,929 fans, and many are using the page to share encouraging messages and memories.

“Beau was a good boy. He’ll be dearly missed, along with his sister. I saw Beau a couple of weeks ago, and now he’s gone. R.I.P, two wonderful people,” Jacqueline Egelfeld wrote .

The page has also garnered fans who never knew the children but were deeply affected as well.

“I didn’t know them personally, but to Beau and Calyx I read your entire memorial page and spoke to a few of your friends and I am 100 percent positive you were beautiful people who didn’t deserve this. I will pray for your souls to either be at peace or reborn to a new life. I hope we all learn from them to notice signs of trouble and act on it to save lives the next time and they did not pass in vain,” Jolen Gervais wrote.

“I pray the beauty they brought this world is passed down in every memory. I will keep the Harry Potter spirit alive for you Calyx from a fellow I.B. student! & I am sure Beau’s friends and yours will keep your memories moving. Love all the way from Chicago, Illinois!,” Gervais continued.

Fans have also showed support by changing their profile images to pictures of Calyx and Beau.

Pictures of friends and family gathered at the candle light vigil held for Beau and Caylx Friday night were shared as well.

But fans have also shared many mementos that provide more insight into the teen’s personalities.

A posted Youtube video of Beau showed his playful personality as he made faces to the camera while in class. A photo of Calyx shared a memory of her hanging out with friends as they all took in a movie.

The page is flooded with messages of “I love you”, “You will be missed” and “Rest in peace” and fans continue to grow in number as people continue to express their condolences.

Together, fans are using the page as a way to cope with the shock of the sudden, unimaginable loss while remembering the lives many said were gone too soon.

Investigators said Schenecker’s children were likely unaware that their mother, the wife of a military intelligence officer, had any plans to end their lives.

Schenecker was scheduled to make her first appearance in court Saturday morning, but it was delayed so she could receive treatment for a previous medical condition.
